Here’s my latest piece called “Focus.” It’s of Vernon Davis, the talented Tight End on the San Francisco 49ers. I recently donated my Frank Gore piece to his gallery in Santana Row and with that I wanted to paint him too to acknowledge his philanthropy and performance on the grid iron. Gallery 85 is great. Proceeds from art sales go toward his Foundation for the Arts program that supports art education for underprivileged children. I couldn’t imagine going through life not having support with art, so, much love and respect to Vernon for acknowledging those in need and helping out. And a BIG THANKS to him and his staff for allowing me to display my art there; I’m extremely humbled. This and a few of my other original pieces are currently being displayed at Gallery 85 in Santana Row, as well as other awesome local art talent.
Here’s the latest piece I’ve worked on - “Workhorse.” Frank Gore is one of the NFL’s premiere running backs. It was fun to paint a player from my favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. I continue to work on athletes as there is a liking and high interest in these pieces in my network of friends and clients. I also plan on submitting this and my other sports pieces to a call for local artists to display art at the new 49ers stadium. If I would be selected to be an artist, that would be a huge accomplishment for me. Lets see whats happens! Anyway, enjoy and I promise I’ll get to a non-SF team athlete for those who are wondering.
